No seguimento do meu doutoramento, apresentei na 6ª CONTECSI - Congresso Internacional de Gestão de Tecnologias e Sistemas de Informação em São Paulo-Brasil, realizada entre 3 e 5 de Junho um primeiro artigo de algumas conclusões sobre o projecto de Doutoramento com o título "Business Models for Enterprise Open Source Software Vendors".Apresento aqui o abstract do artigo. Em próximos post vou indicando algumas outputs do trabalho.

Abstract:
Within the current highly competitive stance, a new IT business framework has started to emerge, the Open Source Software. This paper is not an additional work on the reasons and context (social, motivational, network development growth, etc.) of the Open Source software development, where a substantial set of researches have already be done with deep detail. It is aimed at clarifying how the Open Source software impacts the Enterprise market level, identifying how Software providers based on creating Open Source software are able to operate, to finance their projects, to grow and, mostly, to be sustainable. A research model is also introduced and through it we try to explain which success factors are driving the Open Source software companies sustainability.
